The German Porsche tuner 9ff is well known for creation some of the most outrageous 911s on the planet, whether it be a chopped and streamlined speed machine or a 1000 HP power house, 9ff has done it all. Now they can add another accolade to their wall of achievements because the 9ff TR 1000 has just become the world’s fastest Porsche 911 at the ATP automotive testing circuit in Papenburg, Germany.
Built upon a Turbo platform, the TR 1000 is powered by a flat six boosted by a pair of larger turbochargers, upgraded intercooler, sport profile camshafts, titanium connecting rods, forged crankshaft, high flow sport air filter, revised ECU and a high performance exhaust system to produce a maximum output of 1000 HP and 767 lb-ft of torque. The result is a 911 that can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.2 seconds and reach a now proven 243.4 MPH on the test track which is esentialy an elongated oval with over two miles of straights going in either direction connected by two significantly banked turns.
